Happy Stuff / no sad sh%t
My world is crashing in but, I have lots in my life to be happy about and proud of. I got out and Winterized my yard. I cut down the last of the garden. These are Jalapeno peppers that are way past their prime. (and my dog digging a hole)

As bad as the allergies are I am still managing to enjoy the weather. My head is a solid block. Have you seen those Claritin commercials? I wish someone would pull that hazy layer off of me.
My son Jon was home we spent some fun time together, this is put-put. We watched some movies and spent some time just lying around talking. That is my favorite time with him. I was trying to drink in every moment with him. He would soon be off on the biggest adventure of his life.
I went to Hartsfield airport to drop him off today. You know have a touch a agoraphobia (fear of leaving the farm) and would rather have poured gas on my head and lit a match than go to the airport.
okay maybe not but, ...I thought of it.
I survived the airport and Jon is off to see the world - - literally.
He is headed off into the world alone carrying everything he will need to live for the next six months.
- He flew out of Hartsfield to New Jersy
- From New Jersy to Ireland
- He is palning on participating in a 26 mile marathon this saturday in Dublin.
- He will take the ferry to England and live out of his packpack and sleep in hostels.
- He will eventually make his way to New Zealand
- He will live in New Zealand a few months to prepare for the Ironman in march 07
- Jon will be visiting Australia by next April.
- He will then fly to Italy next April.
Jon has no plans after that. I suggested he get a J-O-B. Even though he is retired from the Navy at 26 years old, I still believe he should work.
I do encourage this trip and want him to soak in everything he will see, learn and experience. I find comfort in knowing that he feels assured that wherevere he goes and whatever he does he walks with my blessing and love. I am always only a flight away
These Bob Segar lyrics keep playing in my head.
My hands were steady
My eyes were clear and bright
My walk had purpose
My steps were quick and light
And I held firmly
To what I felt was right
Like a rock
Like a rock,
I was strong as I could be
Like a rock, nothin ever got to me
Like a rock, I was something to see
Like a rock
And I stood arrow straight
Unencumbered by the weight
Of all these hustlers and their schemes
I stood proud, I stood tall
High above it all
Like a rock.
Signed,
jon's proud mom

Jon's in Antigua
I have been doing catch up on my paperwork. July starts our new year so I must tidy up last years paperwork and implement changes for the new year. I would rather be tarred and feathered than to do paperwork. I am like a kid trying to do homework and I want something to drink. Then I have to pee. I grab a snack on the way back from the bathroom. Then I need to take this call. After all of this I need a break from that paperwork and havent gotten a damn thing done. It just drags on.
On the homefront all is well. The garden is still bountiful, Tomatoes are all the rage this week. We gave several grocery bags full away. We have par-boiled and frozen 9 gallon bags of tomatoes. We have 14 tomatoe plants and there is about 30 pounds of them in my sink right now.
I am so excited ~ MY EGGPLANT IS THRIVING!

I have babied these plants so much. I have not had successful eggplant in years. I looked online and found out New Jersy is the eggplant capitol. Well, I live in Georgia - but I was determined. I sat in the garden and picked bugs off my eggplant by hand! I wanted to be organic so bad. I finally gave in and dusted them with sevin dust #10. The bugs are gone the plants are growing into bushes and producing very well.
The peppers love the heat we have had. We have enough Jalapenos to supply the local trailer park we call (Taco Village). The bell peppers gave a good first round now they are on the second round and not large enough to pick yet.
The corn has come and gone ~ the window for corn is very small. We really just plant corn for fun. It makes the garden look good :) Then I have free Halloween decorations! I have about a dozen ears frozen.
I have just discoved I can no longer post pics it says

Ole Blue
Second time out of the gate and you posted a tipsy entry. Well I guess that’s the end of glamour here.
Oh yea, note to self “WE HAVE SPELL CHECK NOW!”

Looking at our property, you would think we collect Fords.
We have a 1967 ford truck - still runs great.
The 1976 Granada - Jons car
1997 Ford Explorer - My car
What was your first car? What happened to it?

I've been a sorry excuse for a friend.

Hi peeps,
And Beaureguard if he ever shows up here!
I was afraid to move from my "other" space to this one. I wondered if I would make new friends. I wondered if anyone at msn would really notice I was not all over their blog. If people would come looking for the crazy drunken goat lady.
it warms my cockles
Life is good, my family is all together and some things have happened outside the circle of my life that gave me a wake up call and, have made me realize, stuff is just stuff ~ Life is good ~ very good and we are livin' proof.

This is my favorite quote by
Marjorie Kinan Rawlings from 1928.
"If there can be such a thing as instinctual memory the conconsiouseness of land and water must lie deeper in the core of us than any knoweldge of our fellow beings.
We were bred from the earth
before we were born of our mothers.
Once born, we can live without our mothers or fathers or any other kin or any friend or human love,
but we cannot live without the earth
or apart from it.
And something has shrivled in mans heart when he turns away from it, and concerns himself
only with the affairs of men."
In other news my son Jon who is in the U.S Navy for 6 years now. He will be going to see a friend who is living in Antiqua. His flight leaves out of Atlanta on Wednesday.
So..... if theres anyone who loves Atlanta traffic and into The HUGE hassle of Hartsfield International Airport - Raise your hand.
He will be gone to the Tropical paradise of Antiqua for 3 weeks.
God, I wish I could have a 3 week vacation. For anyone who is as geographically challenged as I am. Antiqua is a tiny island in the West Indies WAY off the coast of Venezula.
I have been a pitiful excuse for a friend lately but - I think about everyone and want to know your business so bad. Kats yellowstone trip. Katherines stories. Melissa'a trip to Jamica to see Vin. Michelles trip to Chile. Its good to see Brenda, Qunidigo, Stephen and everyone. I miss the everyday of every day.
I'll be back soon.
I'll also need help with the frinds links list - its not working out for me so far.
I love all of ya'll so fucking much! Thanx for cumming.

We have relocated

So, here we are at the new blog. I am a blogger from waaay back. (another place and time)
BUT> I have a friend who has moved to Florida. I am hoping he will catch on to this and love it as much as all of us bloggers do.
I have several (cyber) friends who have moved here to blogspot, so I hope to catch up with them also. I don't know html :( but I intend to learn.
I just needed a fresh new place thats not littered by my potty mouth and liquor bottles. So, how long do ya give me to break this one in?
Cheers ~ Welcome me aboard!
